Level up your printing with these proven techniques
Get supports that remove cleanly every time by using these optimized interface settings. Works especially well for complex overhangs and delicate features.
Get better looking prints with these techniques
Print a temperature tower for each new filament roll. Even same brand/color can vary ±10°C between batches. This 20-minute test saves hours of failed prints.
Hide layer seams on sharp corners or back faces. In Bambu Studio: Seam Position → Aligned + Rear. Makes a huge difference for display models.
Enable ironing for glass-smooth top layers. Add 10% print time but worth it for visible surfaces. Lower iron flow to 10% to prevent over-extrusion.
Print faster without sacrificing quality
Use 0.08mm for detailed areas and 0.28mm for simple geometry. Can cut print time by 40% on models with varying complexity. Bambu Studio makes this easy.
For ABS/ASA prints that don't need perfect dimensions, use draft shield instead of full enclosure. Prevents warping while maintaining full speed.
Disable minimum layer time for large prints. Small features might suffer slightly but can save hours on big models. Perfect for prototype iterations.
Work smarter, not harder
Position phone at 45° angle to bed for best time-lapse results. Use a phone stand 30cm away. Enable "park head" for cleaner footage.
Save different Z-offset values for each build surface as plate profiles. Switching between textured and smooth plates becomes one-click.
Use Bambu Studio's project feature to save all settings with the model. Include notes about successful prints, filament used, and any special requirements.
