Tips
- Bambu Studio shows estimated filament usage in the print preview
- Add 5–10% buffer for failed prints or purge towers
- When weighing remaining filament, subtract the empty spool weight (Bambu: typically ~250g for a 1kg spool; other brands differ, so weigh an empty spool of the same brand if you have one)
- Multi-color prints waste filament at every color change, mostly through flushing; the prime tower usually uses less (Bambu's 4-color cube example: 153 changes and 83g of waste at 0.2mm layers). Bambu Studio shows this waste after slicing.
