Bambu Lab Firmware Tracker
The latest firmware for every Bambu printer on one page, with what changed and whether to update
Current state of the lineup
The freshest firmware sits on the A1 and A1 mini (01.08.01.00, June 3); the A-series is currently Bambu's most actively maintained line. The P1 series got its biggest 2026 feature (external-spool multicolor) in March, the P2S/H2S/H2D picked up the "print while drying" wave in spring, and the new X2D and H2C are on their launch-generation builds. At the other end, the X1C and X1E have not seen an update since December 10, 2025, consistent with their March 2026 end-of-life: maintenance mode, not active development.

Days since last firmware update
One number Bambu never shows you side by side: how long each printer has been waiting for attention (as of July 19, 2026).
Update now or wait?
Bambu's own pages tell you what changed; they never tell you whether to install it. Our honest defaults:
- Point releases (last digit pairs): install. They are bug and security fixes; waiting buys you nothing.
- Major version jumps: give it a week. New feature waves occasionally ship regressions; the firmware announcement threads surface problems within days. Nothing about printing forces you to be first.
- LAN-mode and OrcaSlicer users: read the notes first. Since the January 2025 Authorization Control change, firmware updates can alter how third-party software reaches the printer. Background: What is Bambu Connect? and the AGPL dispute.
- X1C owners: what you have is what you get. No feature updates have shipped since December 2025 and the series is EOL; plan around a stable, frozen platform, which for a production machine is not necessarily bad.
- Betas: opt-in only via the forum. Public betas (announced in the forum) do not install over the air by default. Skip them on machines you rely on.
How this page works
We check the official release-history pages for all eleven printers and update this table when a new version ships; our news radar covers firmware announcements within hours, and notable releases get a full article (like Bambu Studio 2.8.1 on the software side). For the update procedure itself, including offline updates from SD card, see our firmware update guide.
