The A1 is the best-selling recommendation for a reason: $299 (list $399), simple, fast enough, multicolor via AMS lite. Its limits are structural: open frame means no reliable ABS/ASA at size, 300C means no engineering filaments, 256 mm means medium parts.
The H2S removes every one of those limits at once, which is exactly what the price gap pays for. The question is not which is better, it is whether any of those limits are in your way.
