The P1P was the open-frame budget CoreXY that made the P series popular, sold originally at $699 with side panels as a DIY upgrade. It is discontinued; support continues, but the value equation is gone: the fully enclosed P1S now sells for $399.
The only live question is the used market. A P1P in good shape is a fine PLA/PETG machine, and its modding scene (printed side panels, handles) remains active. But price discipline matters when the enclosed successor is $399 new with warranty.
