At $80 apart, it's tempting to treat the A2L and P2S as rivals, but they barely overlap. The A2L is a large open-frame bed-slinger built for high-volume PLA, PETG and TPU. The P2S is a smaller enclosed CoreXY built to add ABS, ASA and warp-prone materials to your options. The deciding question isn't price, it's whether you need an enclosure.
If you ever want to print ABS or ASA, even occasionally, the A2L will frustrate you: there is no enclosure and no heated chamber, so the bed tops out at 80°C and large parts warp and crack on the open frame. The P2S enclosure traps ambient heat and solves this. If you only print PLA and PETG, the enclosure buys you nothing and the A2L's much bigger bed and lower price win.
The A2L's headline advantages are size and the cutting plotter. Its 330 × 320 × 325 mm bed dwarfs the P2S's 256 mm cube, and the optional ~$60 Cutting Upgrade Kit turns it into a Cricut-style vinyl and sticker cutter, something no enclosed Bambu can do. For makers and craft businesses printing large PLA/PETG parts, that combination is hard to beat at $469.
The P2S wins on materials and motion. Its enclosure, hardened-steel nozzle and 110°C bed handle ABS and ASA reliably, its CoreXY design is steadier for tall prints, and it's faster at 600 mm/s. Add HEPA + carbon filtration and full AMS 2.0, and it's the better pick the moment engineering materials enter the picture.
Not reliably, and it isn't designed for it. The A2L has no heated chamber and its bed caps at 80°C, so even with a DIY enclosure you'd be fighting warping and poor layer adhesion on ABS and ASA, especially at its large bed size. If ABS/ASA is a real requirement, buy the enclosed P2S rather than trying to convert an open-frame machine. Keep the A2L for what it does best: large PLA, PETG and TPU prints, plus the cutting-plotter option.
